2020 Carolina Panthers Thread

Hopefully this game proves to the fans and front office that Cam carries this team. There should be no discussion about that. GMan did us in with poor drafts and letting guys walk and this upcoming draft has so many needs. Mine would be WR, Safety, RB, and OLine. Cam left it all out on the field. He’ll be ticked next year, on top of the fact that the Saints brought out brooms in the locker room. They truly are a class act team.

Good luck with that, on both counts. For the time being, Hurney is our GM. And the comments sections of game articles will be filled with racists calling for Anderson to have stayed in the game.

When I was about ten years old we used to play backyard football all the time and we would play 2 completions was a first down since we didn't have yardlines. So if it was fourth and 2, the offense would have to score a touchdown or it would be a turnover andWe figured out for the defense it would be much better to knock the ball down instead of try for an interception on a long pass. I was 10 years old.

Gano big game choke of the chip shot miss is the killer.

McCaffrrey too tiny to pass protect so they get the disaster grounding call.

Like Funchess. Liked him even better with Benjamin on the other side.

Wish Funch could have made a better effort on that ball in the end zone. That was the kind of ball Kelvin always caught.

if the balll was on the right hash then he's probably inside the pocket. Bang bang call

It's pretty easy actually. The pocket is defined by the tackles. If the QB is outside of the tackles (hint, no. 60 is the RT), then it's outside the pocket.

That was crazy how the ball landed right next to him and he never got even a finger on it.

What the hell was Funchess doing on the end zone throw? Just a horrible play on a well-thrown ball.

And I'm not reading back through this thread, but why the fuck wasn't it a roughing the passer or unnecessary roughness call on the play where Cam got flattened? His knee was clearly down, his momentum carried him around, and he got crushed after the play was over. If that was Brady or Rodgers or Ryan or Russell Wilson, that is a flag and likely a fine. And Buck and Aikman didn't even mention it as a possibility. What the hell were they watching?

Heard that every ref told the head ref that it wasn’t grounding and he just ignored all of them

That's what Greg said to reporters. I think every qb in the league gets that call. Really shitty.

Time to stop fucking around and get Cam some real weapons and a decent OC.

that was some horse shit officiating. Shouldn't have been grounding. Shouldn't have been an INT. all bullshit.

That was unbelievable

Seemed like an easy catch to make in the scheme of things....

No shit, but there’s no way for officials to precisely make the call of grounding given that there aren’t vertical lines on a football field. It’s a “best” judgement call. They’re usually really good at making the right call. In this case, it could’ve gone either way.

ESPN reporting that the NFL is investigating the Panthers for Cam's quick return after getting hit so hard. He explained, pretty clearly, in the post game presser that the visor from his helmet had come loose and hit down on his eye, the same eye he was clearly icing on the sideline, and the replay showed the dude kicking in his visor while he was on the ground. Howabout the NFL investigate its sorry ass refs as why no flag was thrown on the fucking hit that did it, instead of why he was trying to come back and play after it? The NFL is so awful sometimes.

The only people who thought he was concussed was people rooting against the Panthers.
