So the entire point of the Iowa caucus is to get headlines and momentum, but all the headlines are about the technical fails.

To be even more blunt: The Iowa Democratic Party’s colossal screw-up in reporting results will potentially have direct effects on the outcome of the nomination process. The failure to report results will almost certainly help Biden, assuming that indications that he performed poorly in Iowa are correct, as they won’t get nearly as much media coverage. And they’ll hurt whichever candidate wins the state — most likely Sanders or Buttigieg. (Although if Sanders winds up finishing in second place or lower, he also might not mind a reduction in the importance of Iowa, especially with one of his best states, New Hampshire, coming up next.)

Probably not but declaring victory before the count is even official is up there.

Warren and Biden come across as the only adults in the room and good on them for doing so.

Not really. The DNC fucked up and the head of the IDP should be fired immediately. Tom Perez should be on the chopping block as well. Especially if the state party didn’t properly vet the IT company or test the technology.

I’m just pushing back on people saying the DNC somehow rigged the process to fuck over (insert your candidate here) and parroting Brad Parscale.
 
Pete has to claim victory - his (longshot) path to the nomination depended on winning Iowa and getting the bounce (the bounce being exponentially more important than Iowa's delegates)

I am not claiming a win. Sounds like Biden's performance was pretty lackluster. There is nothing about Bernie bros conspiracy theory mongering that is going to ingratiate me to them.

All of this seems good for Bloomberg. Pretty clear that Biden is done, but this will drag that narrative out through NH at least. Funding will be shaky for Biden and Pete in the interim, Bernie Crazies will be screaming about the process being rigged again, etc. No Iowa Bounce = Bloomberg 2020! Best thing to happen to the Democrats in years.
 
If Biden is done then Trump's criminal activity was a success and he did not even have to wait till the actual race...............what a fuckin joke our country is

This is correct. Pete was going to declare victory no matter what the results were. Does any one remember Joe Lieberman trying to make a three-way tie for third place sound like a victory in 2004?
