Kyle muller was on full roster at end of season and young lefty went 4-6 innings for 7 games and did ok. You have to think they want someone that can get them 4-5 innings if at all possible as losing Morton is big loss for his dominance as well as # of innings you could count on him for. Fried and Ian have to go 6-7 for their first starts.
 
Maybe throw something low and away and out of the zone to Tucker on the first pitch?
 
Also could Newcomb move from his reliever role to more of a starter or middle reliever like he started. Definitely has experience as well as in postseason??
 
Let's just sweep them so we don't have to worry about missing mortons next start.

That was the first text my mom sent when he went out. Gotta love having a mom who understands pitching rotations.
 
So glad for Luke to get 5 outs in rather impressive fashion in hostile environment. Hopefully a series he shines throughout.

Would really hope Newcomb is not even in the conversation to be added to the roster.
