2022 Football Deacs Season Thread (what a shitty end. fuck duke.)

Reading that CJ Stroud wants more Covid vaccines and is in late stage NIL talks with Mit Shah to come be a Deac!

i hadn't thought about it but this could be a great recruiting tool for us, since you'd know all your teammates are fully vaxxed. that would definitely attract 4/5 stars

Dartmouth has eliminated all live tackling of people in practices. They emphasize learning proper technique and use a variety of tackling dummies for practice. Some of the dummies are mobile, designed and built by the Dartmouth engineering department.

Here’s one way to make football safer

If Wake did something like this it could eliminate or at least minimize the injuries, nicks and bumps and bruises from practice, and it might help late season performance.

Could also become a recruiting draw. As a freshman, you won't get beat up in practice being used as a tackling dummy. You will learn football skills and techniques.

he definitely is leaving because he doesn't want to get vaccinated. coaches told him that it was required by state law for any football players to get vaxxed so he's moving to a different state. he saw the issues that it caused for sam this year and was worried.
What issues did it cause for Sam?

This sounds like the Sarcastaball episode from South Park.

This is a joke right?

His guilty feelings over starting covid during a summer study abroad research internship on gain of function research in China then blaming it on bats in a wet market, then getting a vaccine two years later, really negatively affected his confidence in his running game starting in October.

I agree with every word.
