2023 WF Baseball - Schedule Released

The Deacs face UVA's top pitcher Nate Savino tonight at 6 pm.

LHP Savino is 3-0 this season with 1.88 ERA. Savino has walked only 3 batters in 28 innings, and has 35 Ks. Last time out, Savino pitched 6.1 innings giving up 3 runs to BC.

BTW, UVA 3B Jake Gelof is having a Roy Hobbs type of season: .472 BA .548 OBP 1.194 SLG 13 HRs 46 RBI in 21 games.
 
hard to imagine what circumstances would force us into crum starting given both keener and mcgraw pitched last weekend and weren’t used against liberty.
 
Crum is shown on the gameday tweet, but I don't think that means he is starting on the mound. If it wasn't Lowder then I agree there would be other options that would seem to make more sense.
 
didn't expect Pittsburgh to blow out Clemson in both games of a double header, but it looks like that is exactly what is happening.
 
Looks too much like recents years with not having a catcher who can keep that ball in front of him and literally giving multiples bases up until runs come around.
 
we are so lefty heavy, especially without costello. but not really great options on the bench to get more righties without really compromising on d.
 
In ACC, good pitching teams always beat good hitting teams.
