Bad trip all around for the ladies, tho looks like Pitt is pretty decent. Shit about to get real with the Heels coming to town on Friday.

WF hosts Wofford on Tuesday ACCN+
WF hosts UNC on Saturday at 7 pm on ACCN+

WF's remaining ACC games are UNC, ND and @L'ville.

Also, kind of funny that ACC decided to keep the divisions for Soccer, when they were made up for football, and football has done away with them.

Especially since they were made to set up FSU-Miami in the football ACCCG and neither program has men's soccer. Meanwhile women's soccer doesn't have divisions.

And especially since Miami and FSU have (historically speaking) laid eggs in Football for ACCCG.

Men:

After beating Wofford (2-0) on Tuesday, WF sits at 9-1-3 on the season and 3-1-1 in the ACC.

After winning 6 straight, the Deacs are up to #4 in the NCAA rankings. The hated Tar Heels visit Spry this Saturday night at 7pm. ACCN+. UNC is rated #14 in the nation.

Women:

The Lady Deacs fell from the rankings after losing at Pitt (1-4). Tomorrow (Friday) night, the #3 UNC Women's soccer team visits WF.

For those who understand soccer better than I do:
After the goal, was it Wake's plan to sit in their defensive half, cede the initiative to UNC and look only to counter-attack, or were the Tar Heels overwhelmingly the dominant team for the last 35 minutes?

I’d imagine some of both. Wake definitely was content to sit back and defend after taking the lead, but UNC also threw numbers forward much more so than before the goal.

The Men

The WF (11-1-3) men ran their winning streak to 8 as the WF men crushed Robert Morris 5-1 last night in the Deacs' final OOC game of the season.

Huge game on tap for Friday.

#3 WF hosts #6 ND (10-1-3) at 8 pm at Spry on ACCN. WF leads the ACC Atlantic. ND leads the ACC Coastal. A WF win clinches the Atlantic Division. ND is riding a six game winning steak. This is also the regular season home finale for the Deacs.

The Ladies

After tying #3 UNC last weekend, the WF women (8-2-4; 2-2-3 ACC) bookend the Friday's men's WF/ND game by hosting BC on Thursday at 6 pm, and L'ville on Sunday at 12:30 pm. Both BC (0-6-1 ACC) and L'ville (2-3-2) sit below WF in the ACC standings. Sunday's L'ville game is also the regular season finale for the WF women at home.

#1 Marshall vs. #4 WVU (last two unbeaten teams in the country) at 3-2 in the 18th minute

Damn, ended 5-2 WVU. Crazy 2 of the best teams in the country are from the hotbed of american soccer, West Virginia!

WVa scored 3 goals in 1:45 is unreal!

Ladies deacs with a terribad tie at home against winless BC. Second time in the last couple weeks they’ve given points away against bottom of conference opponents.
