I'm a community organizer.
God you're predictable and boring.
I'm a community organizer.
even worse, means he's wasting his salary on non-essential work
Writing his opinions is the most essential part of his work. I get that some judges think playing fantasy football with their clerks is more important, but kudos to him.
Perhaps you missed where I called the ACA "weak ass legislation" a page ago. I don't know who read it and who didn't, but I'm also not making a central part of any argument that Congress shouldn't have staff assist them with their work.
not really;the most important part of his work is considering the merits of each case and the ramifications of his decisions; writing the opinion is fairly mechanical
Did you clerk 2&2?
No. The opinion is what gets used for years down the line as precedent. At the appellate level, the facts of the specific case before him are relatively inconsequential.
right, which is why they delegate the task of writing the words to knowledgeable underlings and then edit the final work
Sure it is, reductions in Medicaid will cost many children their health care as well as many people who are mentally compromised, oops they got you again.Wrong, he got you again, you fall for it every goddamn time. Nobody's health care is at stake. Their insurance is at stake. Hospitals aren't going to start locking their doors if Obamacare goes away. It will go back to exactly as it was before, with those who can pay subsidizing those who can't via outrageous charges. And then hopefully someone with some sense will put forth a proposal that actually makes some sense.
Apparently you've never had the pleasure of assigning research/writing projects to law school students and recent graduates, even those from top-tier schools.
Hell no. The judge should do his own job, not try to rely on some douchebag law student, or recent graduate who can't find an actual job, who doesn't know a damn thing.
Man the liberals on these boards sure are experts on everything. Its remarkable.
2and2 is literally debating with somebody who just came out of being a judicial clerk and is in that field. While I don't know if Numbers is an "expert", he has extensive knowledge on how these thing work. It is clear that 2and2 does not.
