ACC Games in Europe?

LOL at the "bz to kazakhstan" tag. Other than Notre Dame in Dublin, are there any schools that would generate widespread interest? ACC teams don't have any kind of tv presence over there do they?

I think a couple of top games in Spain would draw well. They are crazy about basketball.

Going to England is monumentally stupid.

Duke may have name recognition but it wouldn't be for basketball.

Maybe the ACC has data on people from Europe with ESPN360 subscriptions or places with expats from the south. I don't know. There has to be some basis for it.

You play at some of the US Military bases in Europe. Is playing a basketball game on an aircraft carrier anchored in San Diego that much different than one anchored in Naples, Italy.

Penn State and Central Florida in talks to play a football game in Ireland. So the ACC isn' alone in looking at Europe.

A non-conference football game makes a lot more sense than a conference basketball game.

Ranger, you do make a good point that location doesn't matter if they're using "classic" or holiday tournament logic. Conference games are a different story.
