Nothing says ACC Tournament like hipsters and Polish people.I think Brooklyn will be pretty good for tickets.
How was the ACCT great all those years without being in DC and Brooklyn? A real head scratcher.
The ACC Tournament took it's first step towards the grave when they added the #8 vs. #9 play-in game. It took another, much larger, step in 1998 when they had the #1 vs. #9 seeds and the #7 vs. #8 seeds play on Thursday. The winner of the #1 vs. #9 game actually got a bye into the Semifinals. This stupid idea lasted for 3 years. The ACC Tourney went on life support in 2005, when the conference expanded to 11 teams. It died in 2014 when almost half of the teams in it, were not original members of the ACC. Last Rites were performed in 2015 when Notre Dame (appropriately enough) won what was once the greatest basketball tournament in the land. RIP.

All of which followed expansion.
2004 was the last great tournament. Went out with a bang with 9 teams. Will never be the same again
