SOTOGAB is no longer allowed to play "Dear Old Wake Forest" at the end of sporting events.......

It apparently "kills the energy in the stadium"

Let's not turn this into an AD bashing, but we need to show them that some of us still care deeply for the tradition.

It's a representation of who we are as Wake fans/students/alumni and it's being taken away.

There is now a Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/327278314123044/). Invite friends, family, old classmates, etc...

And hopefully at the Va Tech game we can get a large enough group to sing it after the game to show our support for it.

Yes, keeping up the energy in a stadium full of people heading for the exits should be priority #1.
 
might be better if our band honors our opponent by playing their alma mater
 
I'm not a wake grad, but I have always enjoyed seeing the students and alumni singing at the end of the games. This is a very bad move. Very poor taste.
 
Maybe they mean it kills the energy for the other team, who wants to celebrate without hearing a few people try to sing over them.
 
You know what sucks the energy out more? Playing the other team's fight song.

Play the AM anyway. Fuck the AD.
