BBall Recruiting Thread 2k16- SJM, Washington, Childress & Mitchell sign NLIs; 2017?

Can't provide a link but a very positive report on a fast rising PF.

Ranger posted about WF offering Smart before and it seems like Manning is ahead of the game (again) on identifying an emerging elite talent.

247Sports has not seen a better 2018 point guard prospect this spring than Javonte Smart, who is participating in the USA 16U trials in Colorado Springs, and three schools have already offered.

Smart, 6-4, 185-pounds from Baton Rouge (La.) Scottlandville Magnet High School, told 247Sports that Baylor, Oklahoma and Wake Forest have offered. Hometown LSU is recruiting Smart but has not yet offered.

Expect nearly every school in the country to eventually take a stab at Smart. He has great length for the position, an extra burst, a high level skill package and a maturity to his game that belies his years.

According to ZagsBlog, Dikembe Dixon added a visit to UNLV to his itinerary after his WF visit. He'll then make his decision after that. A lot of high majors have either backed off of him before getting too serious or passed once they brought him in for a visit, so it'll be interesting to see what happens with him and Wake.

ETA: Exact visit dates

Dikembe Dixson will visit DePaul tomorrow, UIC on Monday, Wake Forest 6/5, UNLV 6/15.

Brandon Childress and Kwe Parker are both back with their regular AAU team, the Karolina Diamonds. Ty Graves and Bam Adebayo are also back with the team as well. They're playing in the Big Shots Invitational at Guilford College. They won their first game today but neither Kwe or Brandon seemed to have too many stats in the low scoring game (only Bam scored above 10 pts). They play again at 7:50 pm tonight.

Blake Harris ('17 PG) of Team Felton played well in his team's two wins today. WF has offered him and currently holds 1 prediction on 247 (UNC has 2, VT has 1).

Averaged 8.4 ppg as a freshman. Not bad. Would also spread out schollies in 2016 class.

This is what my guy who is very close to the team said. The next snap that he sent me said that he was also high on Rutgers. (FYI the first thing he sent was in reference to Brandon)

(asked about Giles, said he had no news, basically said that he knows as much as everybody else and Giles is really tight lipped about the whole thing even with people close to the team)

That's all he'll give me about Giles. UNC isn't in the picture.
