BBall Recruiting Thread 2k17-Chaundee Brown commits to WAKE! Brandon Randolph to AZ

That missed Trent Strickland dunk is totally on me, guys. Mea culpa.

"A [player] that has the ability to torch it from behind the arc.."

Over the years I have often heard such a description of an incoming recruit's long range shooting ability. Then when the player started playing it usually turned out that he could not hit 3-pointers consistently against good opposition over the course of a long season. So I welcome Melo Eggleston to Wake Forest but I will reserve judgment on his 3-point shooting ability until sometime in March, 2018 or maybe March, 2019. :)

We're still waiting for Ammonette to hit a 3.

Don't expect Melo to have a great 3 ball coming in, that scouting report is an outlier... otherwise he'd be T50 and maybe higher.

I didn't realize how many guys we offered ended up top 25.

After going back to England, it's impressive that Mathias was able to stay ranked at all. Out of sight out of mind is a big thing with these rankings, so that pretty much ruled out any possibilty of him moving up the list.

Just a thought that smacked me in the face, Carowhina seems to be following us around and offering guys after we do.

Didn't realize Coron Williams had such a strong season from deep.

Chaundee Brown article. He was named a breakout performer this weekend.

While it will obviously be harder for Chaundee to climb over the summer given that he's already top 75, this is exactly why I was hoping to get him and Melo locked in early. Unfortunately, Chaundee's father has said he will likely wait until September to commit.

Arians had 79 made 3s last year (and 65 as a soph). That would have been inside our top 10 on the above list.
