Before Jim Grobe. All you have to say.

Has your rage towards our struggling athletics given you tunnel vision?

I'm not giving us a pass on our attendance, or our performance, but to ignore national trends is a little ridiculous.

Rage? Wut?

You had your original statement backwards. We suck, so nobody wants to come to the games. And it doesn't help that college athletics are drawing fewer fans on the whole.

It's like saying that nobody wants to eat at a restaurant that's on fire because it's too hot to eat in there.

You obviously don't follow his logic. He's saying nobody wants to eat at a restaurant that's on fire because people don't eat out anymore. #nosat

Plans for Deacon Tower were announced prior to the 2006 Season. I remember going to a scrimmage that summer and walking up to the top of the stands where they were going to take away the seats.

Yep. I honestly seem to remember the first set of facilities upgrades were announced after the Seattle Bowl. I know the seats rights came about after the OB season.

The Tower and seat rights plans were launched late July, early August of 2006. I still have the announcement brochure in my office filing cabinet. Wellman even made the comment, on several occasions, that going to the Orange Bowl made the plans much easier to sell. He's a pompous ass but I can't disagree with him on that point.

I think it was roughly a year after the Seattle Bowl that we announced the field turf and bricking if the south end zone. Its a shame scout doesn't have a reliable search function.
