Biden gets Presidential Medal of Freedom

He must've sucked some good dick the last 8 years. Seriously, apart from being a lifetime politician and generally likeable, what did he do to warrant the award?

Whoa, you can't say that. He's a really good guy. So obviously he deserved the Medal of Longevity in Feeding at the Public Trough. I mean the Medal of Freedom, sorry.

Well since you brought it up, he didn't "reportedly" do it--he admitted he committed plagiarism.

This thread makes me weirdly nostalgic for the days of Republicans raging against "liberal lifelong politicians" like Joe Biden, Ted Kennedy and Barney Frank.

Somewhere between then and now we took a turn down down fucking crazy street where the next door neighbor believes Barack Obama is a socialist antichrist and Vladimir Putin is an ally.

In all seriousness, Joe Biden was one of the good guys. Didn't agree with him on every policy issue but he was honest, selfless and you knew he wanted the best for our country. He will be missed.

I still wonder what the ultimate effect would have been had a Republican said of Obama in 2007, "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."

But Joe is a nice guy (and a loyal Democrat), so we'll let it slide.

Much worse has been said about Obama by people who have more power now than they did back then.
 
Biden is a very like-able guy that could have beat Trump in "middle america". Problem is he couldn't beat Hillary.

The Onion is going to have to dig a little deeper now that Old Joe is leaving. One of my favs.....
