Boston College - Game Time Moved to 5:30pm Kickoff

Definitely a top five game under Clawson. In some order:

Today v. BC
FSU last year (at home with a chance to move to 5-0 - although Clemson wasn't going to lose division so it ended up not REALLY mattering)
State last year
TAMU
Temple

Last one is really up for grabs, but going through the schedule didn't see any other games that stood out as massive games beyond playing a top 10 team at home with no real chance of winning.

Anyone know where the official watch bar is in DC today? The alumni facebook page hasn't posted anything.

Unfortunately I have the same feeling. I don't expect a good crowd, certainly not at kickoff. If you're a 'regular' parker with blue and orange access, just getting in by kickoff is going to be tough with the lots not opening until 5pm.

Those with blue lot passes can park in the red lot, if space is available, starting at 3 pm.

Louisville last year?

Yeah that's in there too. There were a series of games last year which were big - at Georgia Tech at night also comes to mind.

If anything good ever came of Katrina it seems to be that our federal and state emergency response network seems to have their act together. Driving inland yesterday there were literally hundreds of utility bucket trucks headed up from Florida. Staying at a hotel in Chapel Hill and there are a half dozen bucket trucks in the parking lot being staged in advance until the storm passes. There are separate crews for tree cutters and utility repair. Also got an email that there are many buses today taking Wilmington's shutins to Winston-Salem. It seems that they will be housed in the Joel. Glad to see Mother so Dear involved, and contrary to the dufus' post the other night - it is very Pro Humanitate.

Nice to see in person all the proactive planning and preparation.

With all due respect to your main point which is more correct than not, tell that to the U S citizens of Puerto Rico.

trees down everywhere. the Biltmore Estate has started flooding.

Jesus. Picture just in from Biltmore. Things have gone downhill quickly.

Let's be honest. We have trouble filling Groves against better teams on Saturday at 3:30. The 5:30 start, Thursday game, opponent and upcoming weather means we'll have a tiny crowd.

This is correct. The crowd will be terrible. Hopefully not Towson-terrible, but bad.

Tough for bucket trucks to drive to Puerto Rico. There are actually 9 trucks at my hotel in CH and the crews are from Tampa. Of course they also have functioning grid to repair here in NC which probably wasn't the case for PR. In any case I am impressed that they are already here and ready to help.

I cant imagine there wont be space available. Hopefully they'll open that up to the folks with Orange Lot passes as well.
