And the brexit and electing either a Bernie or a Trump is going to reverse globalization and bring back all those industrial jobs we lost in the 70s and 80s.

Except people just do this for the sake of doing something and use the fear of immigrants and migrants and foreigners or anyone that doesn't look like them as the cause of all their problems. The cause of the problems is globalization, being uneducated doesn't cut it anymore, the manufacturing isn't coming back its dead so adapt and survive don't wrap yourself in a blanket of nationalism and poor ideas just to make yourself feel better because it won't change anything.
 
Any European-sounding stuff will have to be renamed.

Naturally, to make it harder for Europeans to come into Britain, the Channel Tunnel will be turned into the assault course from Total Wipeout.

I don't know, probably not. But maybe this actually gives these folks a seat at the table the next time around. Or maybe not. I'm not trying to predict the future.

I'm just explaining why these reactions are much more than racism and xenophobia, or whatever you elitist attempt to paint it as, so that you can vilify the opposition and maintain your moral and intellectual superiority.

This is the result of a systematic and intentional destruction of the middle class. For the first time in modern history parents are watching their children have a lower quality of life than their own. So when they get the chance to reject the system that they see as culpable for creating these conditions, it should not be surprising that they go for it.

So what do the "stupid" (for lack of a better word) do? Not everyone is cut out for college - there has to be a blue collar sector to support those who aren't higher education material. What does "adaption" look like in a globalized world?

that was the point, that they wouldn't leave. the other commentators were talking about Netherlands (Nexit) and France (Frexit) leaving, and she was like "well we won't have a Gerxit." but yes the "jerks-it" made it best.
