Bullshit Fox News Says

Watching a bit of Fox News to see their reaction to the Bernie town hall. A Trump economic adviser was on and blamed Obama for the 2008 recession.

Oh shit, it was Art Laffer.

I'm sure all those thousands and thousands of people singing religious hymns outside the cathedral and crossing themselves while they prayed were just good, red-state 'Murican tourists. No way most of those people could be French Catholics, because according to Carlson they apparently no longer exist, and Paris is now a Muslim city. LOL.

Barr’s career does not paint a portrait of someone who chases tin-foil-hat conspiracies. There’s enough evidence in the public record to raise valid suspicions that the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign was motivated not by real concerns about national security, but rather by a loathing of the candidate. And though new facts may emerge in the full, redacted report, they won’t change the larger truth. It would behoove serious journalists to put aside their political biases and delve into a story that might actually be worthy of Watergate comparisons — even if it includes the painful admission that Fox News has been right all along.

It helps to know your source. This isn't a Washington Post editorial, but an opinion piece from Gary Abernathy. According to his Post bio: "Gary Abernathy, a contributing columnist for The Post, is a freelance writer based in Hillsboro, Ohio. After spending 13 years as an editor at three Ohio newspapers from 1983 to 1996, Abernathy worked in Republican Party politics in Ohio and West Virginia, as well as for an Ohio congressman and two U.S. senators. He returned to journalism in 2011, serving until July 2018 as publisher and editor of the (Hillsboro, Ohio) Times-Gazette, one of the few newspapers to endorse Donald Trump for president in 2016. Abernathy has won numerous industry awards for column writing, editing and reporting. He serves as a Republican commissioner on the Highland County (Ohio) Board of Commissioners."

Not exactly an unbiased source.

sailor, who still thinks Clinton committed high crimes that the deep state full of Republicans covered up, accuses other of derangement syndrome.

Good point. The WaPo has a long track record of unbiased reporting and opinions pieces which can not and must not be sullied by partisan reporting.

Angus, what news outlets do you consider to be without bias or relatively unbiased?

He is not looking for unbiased sources. He just wants to be able to claim that there are no legit news sources so he can safely ignore media he doesn’t like. It gives him freedom to get his news from Matt Gaetz without feeling like an insecure snowflake.

You know it's bad for Trump when the best even the Fox News website can do re: the Mueller Report is to have, as its top story, that Trump's advisers were "resisting and defying" his requests and orders regarding Mueller and his investigation. It fits with the narrative some here were speculating about months ago, which is that many of Trump's aides and officials will try to defend their actions after his presidency ends by claiming that they were heroically preventing even greater abuses of power. LOL.

Seems like if a President should be impeached and removed if he tells his staff to do things and it’s heroic and avoids breaking the law when they don’t do them.

My thoughts exactly.

To equivocate Fox News and WaPo is silly and you know this deep down. WaPo has infinitely more journalistic integrity.

Edit - ugh the edit feature sucks. Erased my post and then won’t let me edit. Probably user error though...
