Bullshit Trump Says

Law and order... (when it is convenient).

This isn't unique to Trump, though. Nixon and Clinton were all about law & order while they were casually eschewing the same ideology in how they went about doing politics.

At some point he's going to get rid of Sessions and replace him with someone who will focus on prosecuting Trump's enemies and hiding any crimes by his allies. (Or Sessions will give in to pressure and do it himself.) And he tells us he's planning this all the time on Twitter.

Trump is a special kind of dumb.

Ben Sasse is still going to vote for Kavanaugh to execute Trump’s agenda from the bench.

They all will. I'm sure that plenty of Democrats will, too, in the name of civility or something. They're all a bunch of cowards.

Trump is governing as if the presidency is a kind of mob boss position. Laws, rules, and precedent don't matter in the mafia, vengeance and vindictiveness do. The Attorney General isn't supposed to enforce the law impartially, he's there to be the president's (godfather's) enforcer of whatever decrees or whims he issues. That's been Trump's mentality for decades, probably. The only saving grace is that Trump is not a very smart or self-disciplined mob boss (or president or business tycoon or whatever.) One can only wonder what damage a more capable and intelligent demagogue/crook could do as POTUS, given what we now know about the blind support they can get from large sections of the public.

Trump is to gutless to fire anyone in person. Jeff Sessions is going to get fired, Office Space style-they'll just stop giving him a paycheck and hope the problem resolves itself.
