BuzzOut ad: OG&B, Darren Rovell RT, Yahoo, WXII, NYT, USA Today, CBS Sports

They aren't the ones who pay his salary.

All Wellman, the public. BOT , etc., see is a couple of young guys. There is no broad group. There are no Wake people they see. It makes it much easier to dismiss them.

Again you can think what what you, but perception is major part of any movement.

So....I didn't go to Wake. Just been a fan all my life. Have watched every player hanging in the rafters play in person but Hemric, Chappell, and Davis. But I have been fortunate enough to have two children attend MSD. Does that make my opinion less valuable? I would argue that it's value is doubled if you count it monetarily!

I really think it'd be a good idea to follow up with questions about a full page ad for next week.

Force Wellman's hand here.

Meh, i guess. Part of the editorial function is to marshall conversation in your publication. That implies a certain amount of editorial discretion, so i think Hillary is wrong to act like theyd just run anything.

That said, the conversation surrounding BuzzOut is totally legitimate and deserves a voice. Thats why Hillary ran it. Not because shes wprried about precedent. If some white supremacists approached her for ad space, she would rightly turn them down.

Meh? I don't think overseeing the ads in a paper have much to do with marshaling conversation at all. Did you read what she wrote? She said they would not print anything obscene (which I think she was including white supremacists and hate groups in that general sort of wording) and was also clear that the point had to do with not running an ad "just because we don't agree with it." She was not at all acting like they would "just run anything."

The ad wasn't run for conversation purposes (I don't think the artificial spray tan ad really brings up many interesting social issues), but because it wasn't obscene and the space was paid for. If the editorial staff wants to bring up a conversation it's done in a column.

One of the best things about this ad is that people can drop by campus before the game and pick up their own little #BuzzOUT sign.

Message boards from other schools are chiming in. It offers an "outside looking in" opinion.

As a rival fan, hopefully he can stay.

In all seriousness, how the hell do you hire that guy in the first place?

Nepotism?

I don't think they are related but I get your point. Even so....wouldn't that make it worse? If you were related to the dude, you should know more than anyone else what a sorry coach he is.

IMO, they need to can that AD. Anyone who makes that kind of boneheaded choice and then tries to stick his head in the sand and pretend things are going in the right direction is dangerous for the athletic dept. to be in the hands of. It's the equivalent of being the pilot of a plane in a nose dive without both engines and announcing over the intercom that "Everything is fine."

The Xavier board gets it. They may as well be here with us.

Chew on this: My WF junior year son has not known the excitement of an NCAA Tourney bid yet his best friend at freaking Belmont College will have had three bids in a row!
That guy at Belmont is a great coach! They will be one of many mid majors I will be pulling for the the NCAA tourney.

Funny how fans from other schools including rivals feel the same as the majority of us but the true lunatic fringe which are the [Redacted]/Wellman apologists still cannot see it.

Go and read larue's twitter. There's a guy saying that bzzz is the man and that we are dead wrong. Wtf?

Blurb on back page of W-S Journal sports section today about this and media attention it has generated.

Like we all wanted Doh to stay with the holes, fans from all other schools want Bz to stay. Why? Because they KNOW they can predict a win vs LOWF and usually be right. Bzdelick & Wellman have really made WF basketball insignificant.

IMO, the players on this team need to be the ones CREDITED with getting as many wins as we have. Bz has no real game plan. His offense doesn't create scoring opportunities. CJ, CMM, Devon...all of them have to create their own opportunities. I contend that the players careers would be HUGELY changed and improved if they had a real coach. I also contend that a coach like S2, Stevens, Marshall, White, and others discussed on this board would have this current team NIT eligible at the very least and poised to make an NCAA tourney run next year.

Most of the comments on the State board are tongue in cheek and are in reference to Sidney Lowe. They obviously think Bzz sucks, as any sane person would.

I had a wtf moment when I was reading that thread, and then realized they were prob just mocking the duke and UNC fans who made those comments when state wanted Lowe gone.

So yea, for someone who has been mentioned in the conversation for the job if Bzz gets fired I wouldn't expect anything less from him.

Is this a different Rusty tweet from last night?
