What does turning it around mean?
The problem is that the damage to the program has been so extensive and expectations so diminished that turning it around now, would have been a disappointment at any time over the last 20 years. So, if WF has winning record of each of the next 4 years, makes the NIT three times and the NCAA's once, is that turning it around?
Lets say that happens. 2013-14 - WF goes 17-14 (7-11 ACC), and wins a game in the NIT; 2014-5 19-13 (8-10 ACC) wins a couple of games in the NIT; 2015-6 21-11 (10-8 ACC) loses in the 1st round of the NCAA; 2016-7 19-12 (8-10 ACC) NIT again. At that point, Bz is 66. Then, what? Rusty? Chill?
I just don't see a plan that results in greatness for WF basketball. The best case for the "plan" is slow rise to mediocrity which even if it goes better than all reasonable expectations still ends up with a new coach in the next 4-5 years. WF basketball is just adrift and looks to be adrift for many years to come. Sad.
