Capitalism

countdown to sailor or '89 either asking you to either show me where COMMUNISM worked or just a one liner about "yeah, because we'd all rather be hanging with Stalin"

Communism didn't work, ppl forget that

Communism doesn't work because it means equality with rubes, same as the failed notion of jury by your peers.

Would you flesh this out? I don't think "capitalism is the choice of societies with high levels of racial tension/oppression" is really a point against socialism.

How about accelerationism? Being part robot would be p sweet

Basically every capitalist society has significant pieces of socialism.

Unfettered, unregulated capitalism is a disaster. All you have to do is go to US/Mexico border towns or third world countries to see what happens when regulations don't exist.

before continuing please define socialism and capitalism, thanks

I generally think along the lines Polanyi laid out.

Capitalism: the self-regulating market as the basis of society

Socialism: "the tendency inherent in an industrial civilization to transcend the self-regulating market by consciously subordinating it to a democratic society. It is the solution natural to the industrial workers who see no reason why production should not be regulated directly and why markets should be more than a useful but subordinate trait in a free society."
