Guys I’m at The ATL. Atlantis !

Hail Atlantis. First time here. Actually pretty impressive. Very casino like. Kids are digging it. Getting wasted. Lazy River coming up soon. Went deep sea fishing yesterday and caught some Spanish Mackerel and Yellowfin Tuna that we ate foe dinner last night. Also caught some big ass barracudas.

Might post a feet pic later if you people are good.
 
Going to Boone this summer and planning to do a 4+ hour float. Can’t wait. Quite possibly my favorite thing to do.

I saw Gin Blossoms in college at the Rockville Memorial Day celebration.

I also saw Hootie and the Blowfish there before Darius Rucker started singing country. This was back in his BK Bacon Tender Ranch jingle days.
 
Atlantis/Beaches/mega resorts just don't appeal to me at all. I imagine that might change when we have kids due to the ease of it.

Hootie played at the Olympic trials in Steamboat when I was like 17. It was like 11 degrees and snowing, but he still played an outdoor concern, just slugging Bud heavy. Dollar beers and no one was carding. Good memories. Definitely partly why I love Hootie.

My buddy from Vegas ended up getting transferred to run the main nightclub in Atlantis for like 5 years. It seemed like a p sweet life. It was just about the time I was working 60hrs/week at BIG ACCOUNTING and had to deal with his like 2PM updates of him spearfishing every damn day.
 
I was loving the hell out of Lithium’s top 100 songs countdown they did over Memorial Day weekend. Great way to spend the long drive back from the beach.
 
i also went to charlotte to see goo goo dolls and counting crows while a student at wake ('06 maybe)

and hootie while in college


rough run for me til I fully worked my way through that whole mytunes catalog I acquired

We just have a day pass. My kids are teens and we would need a suite or two hotel rooms which would kind of suck and be really expensive. I couldn’t spend more than two nights here before I was pretty much over it. We’ve done all-inclusive in Mexico and Costa Rica that worked really well.

There’s a dude here with his whole body tattooed wearing a shiny Speedo.
