ok, so I posted this on the Adopted Posters thread, but I'm going to share it y'all here as well - because I want to share but feel making it its own thread is too self serving, but


WE JUST GOT OUR REFERRAL!!!!!

We started the adoption process in December of 2009 and had all our paperwork completed by the next march. We got placed on the wait list for a referral at the end of April 2010. After 13 months of just waiting, We have a referral. We got the call this afternoon and got 6 pictures and information about the little boy that we hope to adopt from Ethiopia!

We probably won't get a court date until after the rainy season which is (Sept./Oct.) which would probably have us bringing him home early 2012.

But today is a GREAT today, for legal/confidentiality reasons, I can't post pictures in a public forum until after the court date when he is officially ours, but he is absolutely stunning.

Huge thanks to all of you who have expressed kind thoughts and prayers throughout this process - especially those of you who contributed some financially to our expenses. I am humbled to be a part of the this community.
