Staying at the Borgata in AC tonight. The level of sadness on the casino floor is high to quite high. This is my first time in AC, and on Thursday I'll be going to Vegas for the first time.

In Winston (and already in many other NC cities), you can now purchase alcohol at 10am on Sunday instead of Noon!

Slow, but steady progress against one of the most asinine laws in the state.
 
Ran through a spiderweb this morning and it was like the spiderweb of King Spider the Spider King, literally hitting me from top of head to below knees. Stuck all over me in long strands, impossible to peel off, the stuff of nightmares. Just had to endure. Would have been VERY funny to see if it had happened to anyone other than me.
 
There is no good way to get from Philly to JFK

Sincerely considering taking a $200 Uber

If we Amtrak to Penn Station that's like $150, then you still have 40 minutes on the train

Renting a car sucks for JFK where the shuttles are like 11 miles from the airport

Can't drive cause we're flying back into a different airport

Seems like the next best option, like $100 for the two of us, but takes ~4 hours:

30th Street > Trenton on SEPTA
Trenton > Penn Station on NJ Transit
1 train > Jamaica
Jamaica > Air Tran

Seems like it's almost better Ubering at that price difference
 
JFK is the worst to get to. I usually used a shuttle service when I lived in NYC that would pick up a bunch of people so it was less than a cab. I just googled and it looks like there are shuttle services from Philly to JFK. Might be worth looking into.

Waiting at the doctor now for a 10:15 appointment (it's now 10:37). I always assume I'll have to wait, but it's particularly annoying when I literally just had to sign a form acknowledging that there's a 15 min grace period for patients after their appointment time. Maybe that should go both ways?!

yep; super annoying especially since every time I go in with the doc he seems to spend like, 5-10 min and hustle me out
