While season 1 had its fair share of the usual SJW politics injected into it that we can expect in anything that comes out of Hollywood these days (yeah it pretty much ruined Marvel movies), overall it was at least entertaining and I tolerated the SJW BS in it. So, pretty much the whole premise for season 2 starts out explaining how Venezuela has all of these valuable resources but has been driven into poverty by wait for it....the horrible "nationalist" leader, who is being opposed in an upcoming election by a righteous heroic female champion of social justice policies. Ok, it's one thing when you create some fictional scenario because it serves the plot of the show and just creates an overall better storyline, but when you go out of your way to side step reality for no other reason than to avoid saying anything bad about socialism, yeah you've clearly lost. What's really sad is that the stark reality of the failure of Venezuela already exists in real life, they didn't really have to make up their own version of it, and it is 100% due to the failures of socialism. Of course they couldn't put that in the show, because they want to use socialism to solidify the power of the ruling class in America, so they had to change it. Oh I know, let's make it so that the horrible dictator guy who ruined Venezuela is a nationalist, and then we'll make all these underhanded comparisons to Trump, and we'll prop up our fictional hero politician to beat him as a righteous purveyor of socialism, nevermind the fact that socialism actually killed Venezuela. I shut it off the moment that absurdity was uttered by Jim Halpert and honestly he should be ashamed of himself as an actor for playing along with this nonsense. You want to depict the dangers of the failed state of Venezuela to the world, fiction or not at least have enough respect for the people there who are starving to death and enough courage to point out that socialism is what killed them.
