Public restroom stalls with a full on door are underrated

That's one of the greatest things about Europe. Those people really need their space and privacy to shit. Each stall is like its own little private, enclosed room with walls and a door that completely closes the area off. We're such savages on this side of the pond.
the Finns designed the restrooms in the office bathrooms in our factories like that and it's so nice. now my office is in a generic office building and I'm back to stalls like a savage.
had a work dinner at a steakhouse and the whole thing was just silly
crazy to me that that form of dining is so popular
I guess I disagree with most of that -- the food is fine, the atmosphere sucks, but the service is good
it's not my dime so I don't really care, but the cost is outrageous for what I can get elsewhere in the city
the atmosphere is my biggest complaint: a lot of skeezy old men at the bar ogling underdressed cocktail waitresses, navy blazer out-of-town business crowd with no taste, and super loud
as for the food, there are 25 steakhouses that are pretty much the exact same -- nothing interesting or distinct about any of them; they even have the same decor, etc.
the biggest advantage is that it's downtown near the hotels -- give me the same budget and I can take you to 50 better spots if you're willing to leave the Loop

better than ordering the seafood appetizer that's $40 a head with four-day old oysters flown in from god knows where
Everything in Chicago is flown in from god knows where except beef.
Agree with you though about the raw seafood tower though. Awesome in Seattle, bad in Dallas.
And those are things I actually ate on my last trip to G&G. I wouldn't want to host a corporate dinner there though with Fred from accounting.
