Coach Jerry Haas in 15th at PNC to get to PGA Championship

The golf team just had a culture problem and Jerry was the guy to come in, clean house with the bad kids and bring in some five star hearts. We all know the golf team was a PR nightmare before, regardless of the top rankings and national championships. He just needs more time to build a sustainable, winning program with good kids who don't flip their clubs after bad shots, steal Pro Vs, or even forget to repair divot marks on the greens. That type of behavior is not Wake Forest.

WTF? Forget a national championship. We are so far from that--assuming you followed the 2013 regionals much less the finals--it is laughable to even mention it in the same breath with WFU golf. How about an ACC Championship. I believe its now been 24 years? Where did we finish this year--eighth? Who do we have returning of national caliber? No one. Haas may "know" what it takes but he sure as heck doesn't do what it takes.

Oh but his brother was part of two national championship teams at Wake 40 years ago. So, obviously, that means he's going to get it done, even though he hasn't for over 15 years.

Then "most" people don't know what the fuck they're talking about. And we definitely need a coach who understands what it takes to win a National Championship in golf. If only there was an alumnus who had the game and understanding of what it takes. Oh, wait...

Hah. This went over even worse than I thought. Please provide some sort of empirical examples of why Coach Haas is the right coach for our golf program. Thanks.

I assume this is parody.

If we have kids not repairing divot marks, heads should ROLL!!!

I can't believe alums and fans tolerate these hooligans. It's just hogwash!

Very Wake Forest.

Has the potential to do something great and play at the PGA Championship, but a double bogey on 18 leads to a discussion of how he should be fired.

No, his sorry ass record led to the discussion that he should have been fired a long time ago. Let' take up a collection so he can go on the Champions Tour.
