Coach Odom would have won today

That's two tyears back-to-back at a school that can't recruit any big guys.

Trying to comparre AFA to an SEC school is ludicrous....oh yeah and FOUR of those elven years were at Wake.

Additionallyit's ONE NIT not repetitive NITs at the same school.

They aren't close being identical fact patterns.

comparing the SEC to a service academy is total BS and you know it. Well you'd know it if you weren't discussing it with me.

Yet, you have rambled on about Bzzz leading the AF to their greatest 2 year run ever, which was an NCAA bid followed by an NIT final four.

You will take virtually identical fact patterns and talk out of both sides of your mouth to support your predisposed position. One of the reasons that nobody takes you seriously around here.

Same-old same-old. He and his cohort make excuses for why a coach who has taken us to the abyss isn't to blame and "John Wooden and blah blah blah couldn't win with this crew" and in another thread dismiss the accomplishments of the coach who took us to the greatest heights of my lifetime. I'd be amazed if it wasn't the same crap I've seen for over a decade.

It is quite literally impossible to take a guy with no basketball skills and turn him into one of the greatest basketball players ever. That's just absurd.

Ohio State didn't want him.

Odom did a great job at SC. The place is a revolving door of coaches. There is a reason they haven't won an NCAA tournament game since 1971.

He won 2 NIT titles there and was within an eyelash of an SEC tourney title.

1973 but I know what you mean.

I'm with RJ. Can we please dispose with the insluts?

I have to admit that was a classic typo....I do it without a cover, minimun or mandatory bottle service...

What's amazing, hilarious and pathetic is the fact that so many here can't read. I've gotten -50 or so so for this thread for supporting [Redacted].

The problems with that are that I haven't done so and on the other thread I've given multiple escape from [Redacted] strategies.

I'll give it to you that Odom did have his shortcomings with Duncan not getting to the final 4 but shit look all the other great teams that didn't make it. Just goes to show how hard it is to make it through that "Crapshoot".

Odom's teams also weren't fun to watch even though Skip had very fun teams to watch but they couldn't play a lick of defense. Both were huge upgrades from what you guys have now though. It's not like Dino left Bzzzz with absolutely zero talent. On paper, those kids should have performed much better than they have especially in what some call a "Down Acc".

People keep complaining about how the Duncan year ended, but I'm still more bitter that he couldn't make a final four with Mr. NIT MVP Robert O'Kelley.

true-team-spirit

we will never see a pic like this with bzz.

Maybe Childress will give Bz a hug before security escorts him off campus and somebody can take a picture.

I love Dave Odom and what he did for Wake Forest. He brought us some of the best memories of my childhood and I'm sure the childhoods of many on this board. I can't think of any other Coach who symbolizes Wake Forest sports more than Odom, and that includes Grobe. That being said, it was time for him to go. From what I remember at the time, it was a mutual decision to part ways. Sometimes, it's just in the interest of both parties to change it up. I think he got tired of being LOWF, and he wanted the State name of the jersey- South Carolina was the perfect place for him to finish his career.

I saw Coach Odom after the Clemson game yesterday in the LJVM concourse. I said "Coach, come back. Come back, coach and save us from this nightmare we've had for the last 2 years". He gave me a big smile and a couple of pats on the shoulder.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall and have been able to listen in on his and Randolph's lengthy discussion during the game.
