Brad is going to hold on to that death rate statistic just as tight as thereff holds onto his government handouts.

The fact that there is no answer as to why Florida death rate is lower than NY (but rising) other than maybe we are better at treating it,.

could another factor be that the New York case load spiked a lot faster than Florida, thus overwhelming the hospitals and preventing better access to treatment?

the Florida rise seems slower and the stories of overcrowding hospitals, while they exist in Florida, don't match what came out of New York

Definitely a factor, critical care is key and even in New York your outcome was dependent on which hospital you had access to.

Also consider the spatial distribution. NYC had 228,000 cases in the 5 burrows whereas the worst spot in Florida, Miami, has had 104,000. Even if you add Broward and Palm Beach Counties, you are talking about ~180K.

You are so fucking stupid, birdman is right you must have some notion that time is static.

Well, on the national level the federal government will continue to ignore the problem as much as possible, Trump will continue to say it will go away soon, his administration will continue to treat it as a PR problem rather than a medical or healthcare crisis, Dr. Fauci and other medical experts will continue to be ignored or muzzled as much as possible, and Trump and his administration will continue to push for schools to reopen in person and for everything to open back up asap. In other words, nothing will change.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

This too.

[h=1]HHS predicts U.S. coronavirus death rate will begin to fall ‘in next couple of weeks’[/h]https://www.cnbc.com/2020/07/23/hhs-predicts-us-coronavirus-death-rate-will-begin-to-fall-in-next-couple-of-weeks.html

Florida with near 200 deaths reported today. New York with 10. Florida passing New York in deaths is not out of the question at this rate.

Per 100,000 rate would take Florida roughly 5 months at 200 deaths per a day to pass NY
