I disagree with you
he also wants two terms? he's 74
The disconnect between BKF's views on systemic racism/black lives matter movement and his views on income inequality/belief that we need a "political revolution" to address income inequality is an odd one to me.
BKF, you know that the bulk of the people who would come into office if a "political revolution" of sorts were to occur are likely to be many of the same people who aren't buying into your "just submit to authority and if you aren't doing anything wrong you don't have anything to worry about" right?
Bernie clearly wants to be elected, but the longer he is out there getting votes and campaigning, the more people he hits with his ideas of a political revolution.
It's not really so much about winning, but changing a mindset of accepting the status quo of a corrupt and futile Congress/Presidency.
Do I agree with everything Bernie says? Of course not. I think a few of his economical statements have huge question marks as to the legitimacy of how they will work. I am, however, completely 100% behind his mentality and what he stands for.
Therefore I will be voting for Bernie as long as he is in the race.
I do not accept the premise from which you reach your conclusion. You are over-simplifying the situation, as well as my positions on all of these issues.
^When she said "I wasn't thinking about running for president at the time"...

Bernie's whole premise is that there has to be a political revolution. In other words, he is telling his voters that it's not enough to elect Bernie, they've got to get a whole bunch of other Dems into Congress on Bernie's coat tails. Given the post-2010 gerrymandering of America that is probably the most unrealistic thing about Bernie's whole pitch.
What do you think about Bernie's stances on systemic racism?
"I've made up my mind about the candidates already. No need for me to watch any damn exchanges of ideas!!!111"
I don't know what it is, as I haven't watched any of the Democratic debates. "Systemic racism" is a pretty broad term that has been ridiculously exaggerated, in my opinion. If that isn't how Bernie feels.....well, all I would say is that he is running for president. I'm not, so I don't have to grovel at that political altar.
Well I resubmit my earlier question then if this is the answer. There is a serious disconnect here. Who do you think is going to ride in on the coat tails of a Bernie revolution?
This isn't the point at all. The point is you say we need a political revolution and apparently believe Bernie can shepherd it in since you support him. With that in mind you also think systemic racism is vastly over generalized and overstated, yet the progressives most likely to come in with Bernie are going to be progressive and left on both social and economic issue - one such issue is incarceration rates for people of color being disproportionate to those of white people and another are the systemic barriers creating inequality. If you don't really think that systemic racism is a big issue and it's likely to be a major focus of the far left who will create a revolution why are you such a big supporter of that revolution?Again, you insist on over-simplifying everything. Do you think that BLM is the only issue in this campaign? That's hardly even on the damned radar of what is important in this campaign.
