Day drunk on a rooftop bar because it’s our last day and why not. Finna go break the bank at Hall’s and wishing I was a touch more sober for the experience.

What have been your favorite Charleston bars?

Somewhat related, we’ve had a few people come out this week to give us estimates around doing a nice patio area with a fire pit and built-in seating. Holy shit have we had to adjust budget expectations quickly!
How much are you getting quoted? We put down patio stones in 2010, leveled it all out and all that stuff, but we were DIYers and didn't put down anything protective under the stones. As a result, we get lots of weeds growing through the cracks every spring. We're thinking of having someone pull everything up and maybe just pour concrete to expand our 8x8 that came with the house

This guy said $25-28 per square foot for the patio plus a couple hundred bucks to dig out and haul away the soil. Things add up once you want to build in seating ($100-140/linear foot) and add some landscaping. Ultimately a worthwhile investment but decent upfront commitment.

I had a craving for a milkshake the other day but didn’t want to ruin my weekend with all that lactose so I picked up some Oatly and some non dairy Ben and Jerry’s (“milk” and cookies flavor of course) and it was a solid B-

That sounds so sad.

ooh boy, speaking of food doing stuff to your insides it was a high fiber week in the JuiceCrew house and man...

played TENNIS! and spikeball all afternoon today -- I turn into a little boy once the weather gets warm, just want to play games all day

New York's the greatest if you get someone to pay the rent
Wahoo, North America
And it's the furthest you can live from the government
Uh-huh, huh
Some fat American Christians might disagree
Here in North America
But New York's the only place we keep them off the street

8th seeded Shane Griffith won the 165 lb weight class at the NCAAs this past weekend for Stanford. What is truly heartbreaking about this is that this past July, Stanford said they were ending their wrestling program for good, even though alumni were able to raise 12 million dollars to keep the team going. Griffith decided to wrestle the championship match with his singlet inside out, so to not show the Stanford logo. The last match of this program ended in a championship for a sophomore. Good for him.

Anybody been to the Harrah's at Cherokee in the last decade? I've got a boys trip planned to head up there one night in November, and then go to Asheville for the Avett Brothers concert the next night. Its a Thursday-Saturday trip, which my buddy suggested, and might be the most genius thing ever. You have to use two PTO days for work but coming back on Saturday and having the rest of the weekend to recover seems like a game changer.

This trip is going to take the place of the Vegas trip I mentioned earlier. The crew is a little different and much more committed than my Vegas boys who we're too wishy washy for me to follow through on booking anything. Plus its just a much easier and less expensive trip.

For me the highlight of Madrid was going to the restaurant Hemingway wrote about in the Sun also Rises, Botin's. I think Seville and Barcelona are more unique cities, but thats the thing about Spain, everyone has a different favorite.

I've never been but occasionally they get some solid concerts there. Also they just opened up a sportsbook.
