As much as I hate all of the losses we have had, this team is remarkably different than last years team. Odd that our record is worse, but everytime we play (sans recent UNC game) I'm really enjoying watching the game. And their play is not terribly different from home to visiting this year as it was last year. Last year you knew if the team was away, there was going to be a blow-out by 30 points.
In my hearts of hearts, I knew we were going to lose to Clemson at the last minute. In a way, its a more painful loss than all those losses last year by 30. Because there is this hope they will squeak it out. All I know is at some point this season, they are going to get on the good side of a win away from home, and my neighbors will be calling in noise complaints about me.
I can tell Manning is coaching these guys. I don't know anything about recruiting classes, assuming he can bring some people in that are of good caliber, I'm really looking forward to next year, and keeping some hope of a fun ACC run this year.
The only folks I'm disappointed at are the Wake fans in the W-S area. That UNC game, the stadium looked easily 30% UNC fans. I understand the reasons why, but that is absolutely pathetic.
