Dortch leaving for NFL

I know it's a typical daily fluff piece by a beat reporter but still nice to see...

Dortch listed as starting PR and 3rd string WR at one of three WR positions on the first Jets unofficial depth chart. It's a little troubling because Tim White, the backup PR is listed as a 2nd string WR.

Tim White is having a great camp according to this guy:

Yeah. It looks like White has passed Dortch for the #6 spot. He wasn’t in roster projections and now he’s 2nd string.

from the Athletic last week Friday:

Trevor Siemian, Ty Montgomery, Ryan Griffin, Deonte Thompson, Josh Bellamy, Deontay Burnett, Chuma Edoga, Tom Compton, Jon Toth (soon to be Harrison), Ben Braden and Eric Smith are with the second unit. Burnett replaced rookie Greg Dortch at receiver. Smith replaced the injured Qvale. Powell rotates in with Montgomery.

Jets vs. Giants. Thursday night at 7:00 pm on NFL Network.

From NYPost.com, "Undrafted rookie Greg Dortch could end up making the team as a punt returner, but he made an impact Tuesday in the passing game, with three receptions, including a TD. The 5'8" wideout has a knack for getting open". Zack Braziller

If Dortch fails to have a very nice NFL career I have no ability at all to understand what translates to the NFL.

not being 5'7" historically has translated well

This. If Dortch makes a roster, he will be one of the smallest players in NFL history. Small NFL players like Welker, Cohen, Rodgers, Sproles etc. have 1-2 inches and 10-20 pounds on Greg.

That’s it. There was a long rain delay. Giants offense has played well except for Eli’s drive. That’s when Dortch got the return.

He’s in at WR now.

Dortch with a 32 yard PR. He looks fantastic there. He's made the first few men miss each time. Hard to imagine someone not picking him up at PR.
