Bz makes me miss Dino as much as Skip.

How soon we forget that Skip was 12th & tied for 11th in his final 2 seasons at Wake Forest and may have been on his way out? Who knows.

...and then recruited 3 more NBA players that got Wake to #1 again even without a good coach. Skip had a couple down years but was clearly building us to an elite level again.

We will never know. He also recruited the "vaunted" class of A T & T, the one that kept Dino as coach, and we see how good that class turned out to be. Skip made a lot of hay off of GDO players who knew how to play great defense and had heart, guys like Songolia, Taron Downey, Josh Howard, Craig Dawson. Then when his own first great class came along, Big E, Ellis, Strickland & JGray were seniors, they finished dead last--12th. Skip was great with the quotes, was a great man, got CP3 here, got us to #1, but could never win in the post season and could never coach defense. That is a fact. Something we will never know is if he could bring us back from the depths of last place. He got us there. the class of A T & T sure wasn't going to get us out of it! That was also shown.

Yep. If you don't think Skip was getting us back with the Ish big class followed by Teague/JJ followed by Farouq then I don't know what to tell you.

Thinking Skip would've stayed in the ACC basement with a team that was elite with Dino is weird.
