Not really. It's a huge stretch to say we would have done anything significant in Paul's 3rd year. That team finished 3-13 without him and it wasn't just due to Gray's play at PG. We would have had no depth beyond Paul and the seniors due to poor recruiting.

CP has taken worse relative talent in the NBA to the playoffs. By that I I mean his NBA teams without him would have been worse relative to the rest of the NBA than the Wake 05-06 team was in the ACC/NCAA. I think that team would have easily been a 4 seed or better with CP and certainly had the shot to make the Sweet 16 or better.
