Even more everyday racial discrimination!

[h=1]Black doll found hanging from noose in Queen Village Philadelphia playground[/h]http://www.philly.com/philly/news/pennsylvania/philadelphia/black-doll-noose-weccacoe-playground-philadelphia-queen-village-20180802.html

A black doll was found hanging from a wire with a noose around its neck Thursday at Weccacoe Playground near Fourth and Catharine Streets, police said.

Authorities received a 911 call about the incident. Police Commissioner Richard Ross said it was “absolutely” a hate crime.
“The symbolism is way too strong, way too powerful, and way too toxic,” Ross said. “And we are going to deal with it.”
Part of the playground sits on top of an African American burial ground. That cemetery was established by Richard Allen, the founder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, the first independent black denomination in the United States.

The picture shouldn't be too hard to find. It's clearly a noose, not just a doll in a tree.

Worth noting the history from the article - a few years ago it was revealed by a historian that the meeting house in the park was on top of a cemetery from Philadelphia's Mother Bethal AME Church. From June:

Queen Village makes room for memorial to a historic African American burial ground

What could have been an ugly fight that stressed the neighborhood’s racial fault lines has instead ended in a remarkably amicable consensus. The Kenney administration, which inherited the issue from Mayor Michael Nutter, took things slowly. A committee of residents and activists was formed to jointly plan the future of the graveyard, known as the Bethel Burying Ground. Although city officials always said their goal was to find a way to delineate the cemetery from the rest of the playground, and give the historic site a worthy memorial, they didn’t dictate how that outcome would be achieved.

Apparently someone wasn't feeling so amicable.

After the Klan sweetens its New York recruitment with candy, Cuomo launches a probe

New York (CNN) — The Ku Klux Klan has embarked on a recruitment campaign in upstate New York in recent months, dropping off packets of white supremacist propaganda and sweetening the material with bars of Snickers in an initiative seemingly aimed at young people.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Friday ordered state police to investigate and directed the state police Hate Crimes Task Force to kick off a "public awareness campaign" to counter hate.

Pretty smart to disguise a recruitment campaign as a Hate Crimes Task Force. I'm sure those white supremacists will thoroughly investigate.

Never heard of that guy. Seems to have a good following among conservatives. Wonder why?

As opposed to POTUS calling any person of color who doesn't support him ignorant, stupid, dumb and more. Or his racist attacks on Hispanics. Or his saying there are "many fine people" who screamed, "White Power", "Jews will not replace us" Blood and Soil" and more in Charlottesville.

Or having Seb Gorka wear a Nazi tunic and Hungarian Nazi Medal to an inaugural ball in the WH.

Or having alt-right racist Steven Miller as Trump's senior policy advisor.

Or having an AG who was so racist that the Senate wouldn't approve him for federal judgeship.

Or having state after state Republican legislatures enact racist voter suppression.

Nice time for Angus to be outraged while being so silent over all the above and much more.

She also mentioned she had good grades, was in the National Honor Society, and graduated from a "high accredited university."

At the police station, Cutshaw allegedly used her race and cleanliness as a reason she didn't belong in jail. An officer, who was also white, questioned why that would matter.

Cutshaw reportedly replied, "You're a cop, you should know what that means." She also said the officer should know her meaning "based on the people that come in this room."

Probably the same guy whose team was the C-Punchers a few years ago.

Too many characters (for yahoo anyway).

Even if we were to collectively accept that “racism” means structural oppression by whites, we’d still need a word for hating or degrading people solely on account of their race. Why reinvent the wheel? And why muddle the principle that this is bad?

The notion that racism is solely about institutionalized white power simply doesn’t compute for most Americans

I stopped reading because first sentence is extremely wrong. If you can base an argument on something that’s not even close to true, you can argue about anything.
