F is for Fascism (Ferguson MO)

DG3 appears to still be on the roids.

Also not sure Al Qaeda is socialist. That’s a weird position to take

Does cortisone count? I had to drive all the way to Ballantyne for that yesterday. No terrorists down there though. Guess I’ll focus my surveillance on the Tunnels hotspot.

But if you’ve got a line on some HGH, let a guy know. I’m over 30 now, so the A-Rod method of post-injury rehab looks more appealing by the day.

Hopefully more cities do what Atlanta is doing and fire the cops seen in the videos as well as charge them, my guess is that it wont happen though. While 2&2 is pathetic he is accurate in mayors should do and demand more. They have the power to reign in the police, move them to where looters are and away from protests. Sure you need some presence for large crowds but if it gets unruly then call in the rest. Also get a police chief that responds the way you want, ask them to review the actions and fire the police in question, if they wont do it, remove them and find somebody that will.

In theory that makes sense, but I think it is more complicated than you make it out to be in some cases or I should say you have to evolve towards that. Because early on here one thing that became evident is that the bad guys who intended to cause mayhem would blend in with the peaceful protesters marching around town. And when the protest would arrive at a particular location all of the sudden all hell would break loose. Our worst night was Saturday. That was the first night with the curfew. Law enforcement thought the protesting would continue to center around the 3rd precinct and then at the curfew they could round up anyone who didn't go home. Instead there were protest marches in different parts of the city that law enforcement let go because they appeared peaceful. Those eventually got joined at the 5th precinct and then all hell broke loose. Law enforcement arrived and broke it up but then things got even more haywire as those seeking to commit arson or loot then spread out and started lighting all sorts of things on fire in different parts of the city. A library, the post office, banks, gas stations, an unemployment center, barber shop with a residential apartment above it, convenience stores and pharmacies, lots of restaurants. And that's just some of the dozens of fires. There were way more lootings. Total disaster. The national guard had to escort the fire department to fire after fire and there wasn't enough law enforcement to quell much of anything. Since that night the peaceful protesters have caught on that they don't want to be associated with the violent fucktards and have stayed out in decreasing numbers post curfew. And the violent fucktards are sort of now engaging in more threatening ways - hiding gas cans around town, firing shots, etc. This still isn't over but the whole vibe has changed because most people want absolutely nothing to do with the violence. Both my kids right now are at a protest over at the capital. It's a sit in - no marching. I'm sure a pressence is there but probably not massive bc the event ends well before curfew. On Saturday some of my daughter's friends were out marching peacefully and then it turned into chaos. They went home wanting no part of that crap. But they had to learn the lesson first. Make sense? You can rest assured if protesters look to march law enforcement is going to escort them here given what happened on Saturday.

Some of the things torched here in areas that need more resources are just dumb. A low income housing building halfway constructed, grocery stores, a laundromat, drug stores, banks, an unemployment center, a library, a post office, etc. This is stuff people need day to day and now they have no access to it. A lot of people in those areas are saying the arson was done by people not from the area. I can get locals might torch cop cars or a police building. Torching the place where Mom buys food? No way.

Can you link an article? I can;t find this out here in the burbs

https://blockclubchicago.org/2020/0...ficials-say-we-are-in-this-struggle-together/

a lot of it is playing out on social media, Cicero has become a hot spot (search Cicero on Twitter, or Latin Kings or Little Village)

Kicked in some to a Richmond bail fund. Cops here are trying to make that a shitshow as well.

You also lack context for what was already in motion here politically before Floyd was murdered.

This is incorrect. I am from MN and understand it quite well. You should try to back off of all the assumptions. This gets to my point, in general. Try to take a step back and check your thoughts and emotions - figure out where they come from and how very different your perspective is from many of the protestors.

And being "from MN" doesn't mean you know the score of local politics in Minneapolis at present.

Wasn't the fomenting of racial wars part of why the Russians wanted Trump elected? To sew social unrest in America? If so, they succeeded.

I thought you knew. The Russians had nothing to do with anything in the US. It's all a hoax!!!!

Well, that all seemed to fly right over your head...

Clearly Rafi and DeacMan need to make a hotdish and post it on here so we can decide which one of you is the better Minnesotan.

Just wanted to post one positive sentiment. I just went for a 9 mile run around DC, some of which was in Rock Creek Park but a lot of the rest was through busy parts of NW. I ran through the Hispanic part of Columbia Heights and Mt Pleasant, through Howard campus and Shaw, and up Georgia Ave to where I live.

I saw hundreds of very peaceful protestors. The very common sentiment was in memory of George and remembering this moment. I saw lots of people of various age and ability that seem energized and not beaten down. Lots of music playing. Some good vibes out there today from my anecdotal POV.

I haven’t been on twitter and don’t watch the news so have no idea what it looks like near the White House today or the mall

Welp, my Archbishop has come out against Trump so I'm pretty sure I won't vote for Trump in November.
