F is for Fascism (Ferguson MO)

not a criminal either.

The crux of these arguments is that the problems are caused by "bad apple" cops, rather than a broken justice system, yet people like yourself make clear that these "bad apple" police actions often fall within protocol, and aren't illegal. It stands to reason that if leaving a dying perpetrator un-attended isn't "criminal", than its the legal policing protocols that are themselves the problem, and not just "bad apples".

Hey, there's only 1 letter difference between "Wake" and "Woke"! Very clever of you to have recognized that!

LOL at "left of Marx" re: police

centerdeac, can you remind me of Marx's position on police?

don't need to Google if you've actually read the work and aren't just using the name as a devil term.

I've read quite a few Marxists and socialists, including Karl. Most of the people on these boards, however, need Google because they have not.

that settles it then, we'll leave it to the Marxism expert to classify all the police criticism on OGboards as "Marxism". Good thing we have someone here who can examine and explain these complicated times for those of us unlettered in political philosophy.

I dont know how I could have missed this!

all criticism of the police here or anywhere else is not Marxist, no one said it was

feel free to throw you silly hat in the ring for People's Kommissar for Leaping to Unwarranted Conclusions

While I appreciate watching you jump around, we're all still waiting for you to share with us what Marx wrote about the police.

Anyway, here's this:

"LEAKED DOCUMENTS SHOW POLICE KNEW FAR-RIGHT EXTREMISTS WERE THE REAL THREAT AT PROTESTS, NOT “ANTIFA”"

"...The cache of law enforcement materials was recently hacked and posted online under the title “BlueLeaks,” providing an unprecedented look at the communications between state, local, and federal law enforcement in the face of the nationwide protests. In an analysis of nearly 300 documents that reference “antifa,” The Intercept found repeated instances of antifa and left-wing protesting activities cast in cartoonishly grim terms alongside more substantive reports of lethal right-wing violence and threats that have received scant mention from top Trump administration officials"

"...Michael German, a former FBI agent specializing in domestic terrorism and current fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice, said the materials were rife with examples of law enforcement intelligence being politicized in ways that endangered both protesters and police alike. “Terrorism is distinguished from other violence by its political nature and, as a result, counterterrorism is often highly politicized as well,” German told The Intercept. “Here we’re seeing where this politicization of counterterrorism is being reflected in intelligence documents that are going out and are intended to inform state and local law enforcement on the ground.” He added: “Overall, what you see is a strange sensationalization of the antifa threats — and that doesn’t exist when looking at the boogaloo documents.”"

"...On June 2, for example, the Department of Homeland Security circulated a tweet to law enforcement agencies across the country reporting that antifa was stashing bricks to “fuel protests.” The intelligence made its way to a law enforcement fusion center in Maine. Last week, Mainer magazine tracked down the original source of the tweet: a far-right, pro-Trump biker who goes by the name “the Wolfman,” who claimed that Facebook kept deleting his brick-planting evidence “because they are BLM supporters.”"

Yep. You’d think that failure to attempt to save someone’s life after shooting them would invalidate any claims of self-defense.

Why? If someone broke in your house and tried to harm your family, and you were able to shoot the intruder, are you performing life saving measures to keep them alive? And, if you don’t, do you think you should be prosecuted?
