Facebook Gold from Crazies

I always chuckle when I see (left/right) wingers try to assert that extreme fascist states conform with (right/left) wing dogma.

Learn it........live it.........love it

Assertions have been made that North Korea is a far-right or fascist state.[SUP][8][/SUP] In The Cleanest Race, Brian Myers purports that North Korea is far-right due to their xenophobia, intense nationalism and pseudo-religious glorification of former and current leaders and race-based rhetoric, although the North Korean regime describes itself as a champion of socialism through its state ideology of Juche.[SUP][9][/SUP]

Juche (Chosŏn'gŭl: 주체; hancha: 主體; RR: Chuch'e; Korean pronunciation: [tɕutɕʰe]), usually translated as "self-reliance", sometimes referred to as Kimilsungism, or Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is the official political ideology of North Korea, described by the regime as Kim Il-Sung's "original, brilliant and revolutionary contribution to national and international thought".[SUP][1][/SUP] The idea states that an individual is "the master of his destiny"[SUP][2][/SUP] and that the North Korean masses are to act as the "masters of the revolution and construction".[SUP][2][/SUP]

sailordeac, I'm curious: as a teacher or professor in Hungary, in what subjects/specialties are you trained?

I would rather not say. As I have noted before, one of the charms of the board are that here we are all equal, and you have to be evaluated based on the quality of your thought and not your rank. I do like to have students sit in a circle because in a circle everyone is more equal.

I have only received a minimum of formal training in sailing. What I know, I have learned from my dad and from experience. Sailing is a great thing, in part, because no matter how much you know, there is always a great deal more to learn.

I would say the same about living.

I don't know if Frosty is a poster reborn but let's give it up for adding someone to the roster who isn't a parody.

if you're just a reskinned butthead, I hope you die and/or go back to Scout

Not reborn, just been lurking for like 7 years. Started following the Scout board (I went back there the other day for shits and man that place has turned into a cesspool) in '08 when I was still at Wake. Made the migration over here with everybody else early on, but I was able to avoid making an account until the boards went private. I finally caved and had to start posting.

That website is super sketch, but the kid definitely lied about "inventing" a clock. It is amazing how fast things can snowball now with the internet and peoples desire to rush to judgement.

I mean the kid made a device that looked a whole hell of a lot like a bomb, are we are surprised a school in Texas freaked out about it? I am pretty sure if it was a socially awkward white kid the school would have acted the same way.

For one, did anybody think this kid invented a clock? I mean, people do realize we've had clocks for a while, right? He built a clock from parts and was proud of it. Bitching that he didn't "invent" something is the stupidest miss the point argument I've ever heard. And what about a clock looks like a bomb? Digital numbers and wires and circuit boards? TEACHER I FOUND A BOMB!...oh wait, nevermind, it's literally every electronic in the world.

The claim is that he didn't build anything, that instead he lifted it right out of an existing kit and dropped it into a pencil box with his name on it.

It's not that the school freaked out when they saw it that bothered me. It's that they continued to freak out once it was obvious it was just a clock.

This is the root of the problem. It's not totally unreasonable to look at something like the kid made and ask him what it is. What a lot people have a problem with is the fact that the school knew quickly that it wasn't a bomb, but had the police interrogate him, denied his request to call his parents, etc. If the device looked a hell of a lot like a bomb and the administration and police thought they were truly dealing with a dangerous situation, why didn't they evacuate the school? Having worked in a public school, if there is any whiff of a threat like this, the standard procedure is to clear the building as fast as possible until the entire building is inspected and deemed safe by the police. None of this was done, indicating the police and administration knew exactly what they were doing when questioning him or they are just incompetent on an extreme level.
