FUCK YOU, RON WELLMAN

Oh, one other random note: this very morning, through a friend, I heard someone close to WFU, is walking around saying this re: Manning:

"Manning has been so unlucky. He lost so many guys to transfers, Europe and the NBA. It's been hard, as this past year he had to start a few freshmen and the team was so young."

As in this guy has a real job, and works/worked at Wake (?), and not only believes that, but is saying that publicly.

Why am I not buying that argument?
 
Manning's job is to win basketball games at Wake Forest. He has somehow convinced some people that it is to get guys pro contracts or prepare them for life. What a crock of shit.

Oh trust me, they do. I sent something along the lines of “tell Wellman to do the right thing and piss off for good” and I received an e-mail the next day from some guy (I think his name was Brett) who worked for the AD. He told me to think about the poor interns that have to read those emails before I send such filth. I doubled down and told him and everyone involved with Wellman and Manning to properly fuck off. I haven’t gotten another email from the AD since.

I think you all are looking at Manning returning the wrong way. It's truly a blessing in several ways. How, you ask? Well, let me tell you:
1- Currie gets time to find whatever coach he really wants, court him, find the money to pay him, etc. That's good, right?
2- Wellman 100% owns Manning and the state of basketball. So when Currie comes in officially, he gets a pass on that sport for a bit and can built it up from the dirt. That's good, right?
3- You all can spend a whole additional year playing basketball program strategist while having no actual influence on anything basketball program related. Now, it's getting really good.
4- I can check back every so often and make total fun of how frustrated, clueless, and ill informed so many of you are. Huge win!

I'm sending Big Ron a thank you letter today. For both his amazing service to WFU and now this bonus gift to so many of you and I, he might even get a fruit basket.
