This line from Wellman really stands out considering he hired Jeff B just a few days later. What a crock of shit.
 
That was written during the highest point of Wake basketball in the last 11 years. Most of us were optimistic, at least cautiously.

That plus Katz did not express a single opinion in the piece. Except that he disagreed with Wellman’s decision to fire Dino. He interviewed Wellman and wrote a piece about the interview.
 
And what he said wasn't wrong wake should have been a very attractive job with a huge pipeline of talent in place at that point.
 
Wellman Way should be vandalized at every opportunity. Fuck that guy!

Men's Basketball: Giving Dino a three year contract after Skip passed. That was a good time to just turn the page on the Prosser era and hire an experienced head coach. It's rare that a team gets to hire a new coach with good recruits waiting in the wings. The standard way to handle that difficult situation and rough timing would be to assign an interim head coach and hire a new coach. Then Wellman compounded that by giving Dino an extension before firing him 6 months later. Then obviously the next two coaches.

Women's basketball: Everything. There's no excuse why Wake can't have a competitive women's basketball program. It's not even a decent program. It's got to be one of the worst if not the worse major conference program over the last 30 years.

I don't follow revenue sports like others have, but it's a shame that Field Hockey has fallen off. From what people here have posted much of that is specifically due to Wellman overreacting to some incident years ago. It's still a good program, but not what it was. Jen Averill is the greatest coach in Wake Forest history. She was here before Wellman and could probably be here for another 10+ years.

I just learned today the daughter of Ralph Kitley, Elizabeth, was ACC Freshman of the Year at VT. Wake beat the Hokies in the ACCT but Tech would have been in The Dance. Why legacy recruits go elsewhere is always an interesting topic.

To be their own person. Ricky Proehl is probably glad Austin didn't go to Wake after seeing what B-Chill went through these 4 years.

There's a massive difference between playing for Manning and playing for Clawson.

Point of order, being named honorable mention is not an all acc designation. A few years ago our athletic department moved the goal posts and distorted all acc to include people named honorable mention. It isn't and never will be.

Horse Shit!!! B-Chill sucks and this quote tells us all we need to know about your basketball IQ. WTF has he went through? He got the job handed to him from being on the staff with his dad. The entire Childress, Manning and Lil Chill is a mess. We would've been much better off with out all 3 and that's the truth..

Don't disagree with that. My point was that getting any All ACC mention >>>>>> coming off the bench for UNCG.
