Has Wake football ever defeated the reigning Heisman winner before Saturday?

WF beat Baylor when future Heisman winner RG III was the QB, but that was his freshman or sophomore. WF almost won the game the next year losing late at home to the Bears.

i think during the game they said that this is only the second time that we have played a returning Heisman winner. the first being Winston at FSU, and we lost.
 
We beat Phillip Rivers, who many State fans think won the Heisman!
 
We are historically competitive against reigning Heisman winners. We actually have a better winning percentage against reigning Heisman winners than we do against all other players.

I remember that game. We were chanting "No more Heisman!" at him.

We drew State at a great time that year. If memory serves, they had national title aspirations and they had tOSU the week after us.
 
Wake never played VT while Vick was there.
 
What about George Rogers and Peyton Manning ?
