Congrats Hunter! Zero question he deserved it.

It is pretty funny Bacot said the league runs through him and wasn't first team. And it was funny when he acted like the given POY and Man Man took it.

Congrats to Hunter!!!

What's interesting is the perception across the message board universe that Forbes has underachieved again with a "talented" team.

But Wake placed only 1 player on the first 3 or hon mention all-ACC teams.

And if you assign the same weights in Pilchard's first post above, including the HM team members at 0.5 (half of a 3rd teamer feels fair), Wake is 5th in the conference at 5.0 in talent behind UNC (9), Duke (6.5), Clemson (6), and Pitt (5.5).

Kinda surprised Hunter was the only Wake player mentioned anywhere amongst those awards but with the way the season ended I guess it's to be expected. Just funny after listening to announcers all year talking about how we have the best starting 5 in the conference and we're the only team in the nation with 4 guys averaging however many points just to see only one of them get any recognition at the end of the year.

I mean Boopie was 13th in the ACC in scoring, 9th in assists and 16th in steals and he can't even get an All-ACC honourable mention?

I don't necessarily think it's wrong given how we flamed out to end the year but it's just funny to see after how the first 90% of the season went.

FWIW, here are the ACC pre-season rankings (adjusted so how they finished):

2023-4 ACC Preseason Poll
School, Points

1. Duke (44), 757 MINUS 1
2. Miami (5), 693 MINUS 12 (Yikes)
3. North Carolina (1), 670 PLUS 2
4. Virginia (1), 593 EVEN
5. Clemson, 570 EVEN
6. Wake Forest, 440 PLUS 1
7. NC State, 420 MINUS 3
8. Virginia Tech, 390 EVEN
9. Pitt, 380 PLUS FIVE
10. Syracuse, 321 PLUS FIVE
11. Florida State, 294 PLUS 3
12. Boston College, 227 PLUS 1
13. Georgia Tech, 157 EVEN
