Sad especially because many of the current stem cell treatments for many neurodegenerative disorders (ischemic stroke, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and dementia) seem to be using SPION stem cells that aren't embryonic. Really misplaced, albeit not unexpected from the Church, which frequently mischaracterizes scientific efforts.
