If we are Going to Run the Option...

Because no one else took this thread seriously. Clearly we have some personnel issues that make it difficult for us to run the Auburn offense.

But, but Tanner.

If this administration had any fucking sense we would of reverted to the read/spread option 3 years ago. But no Lobo found himself an above average gadget QB and couldn't get the boner to go away. And then over the summer they finally wised up only to realize they had none of the personnel needed to run that scheme successively. So when Tanner running the option was a dumpster fire (shocker!) they reverted back to the tried and true offense which has a ceiling of 5 bad wins.

Good job Jimmy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I don't think the OP meant why can't Wake run Auburn's offense right now, but rather why can't it be installed and run next season? Dual threat QB are all over the place, and I think if Wake recruited going forward with Auburn's offense in mind, they could be successful with it...

That is a more reasonable discussion. But, lack of elite skill players and below average OL would make it much less effective. However, with the right recruiting it couldn't be any worse than what we're doing...
