Yes:
Yelled "F*** You" to Miami fan
Shows aloofness with "ask them" and similar quotes

No:
Gives back to the military via Army National Guard, "Operation Hoop Talk: Talking Hoops with the Troops", and wounded soldier visits
Receives praise from many well-regarded basketball figures such as Pat Riley and Gregg Popovich

I don't think any of us know him as a person well enough to answer that, but like I said in another thread, what we have to go on as fans speaks for itself.

He lied to the faces of Air Force cadets. He is clearly a jackass.

He's a sweetheart. It's just so unfair the situation Wellman has forced him into. Poor Buzzy.

While I would never say it, it would be very difficult for someone to argue against it.

I have seen little evidence to indicate that he is not a jackass.

From my personal interaction with him to how he has screwed over numerous players and his discourteous attitude in public (goes beyond just social awkwardness), yes he is not a good person.

He'll be gone in a few weeks... I don't feel the need to attack him personally. Especially given I've never met the man.

He has done a terrible job as head coach of our basketball program, but I have no comment on what kind of person he is.

Not renewing the scholarships of four players at CO when he got there, especially when they had nowhere else to go lined up, seems like a gigantic dick move. Then to hear he's threatened to not renew the scholarships of some of our current players, he's got to go. This man should have never been hired.

I am going to leave this right here:

Proposed Amended Criteria for the Narcissistic Personality Disorder

Feels grandiose and self-important (e.g., exaggerates accomplishments, talents, skills, contacts, and personality traits to the point of lying, demands to be recognised as superior without commensurate achievements);

Is obsessed with fantasies of unlimited success, fame, fearsome power or omnipotence, unequalled brilliance (the cerebral narcissist), bodily beauty or sexual performance (the somatic narcissist), or ideal, everlasting, all-conquering love or passion;

Firmly convinced that he or she is unique and, being special, can only be understood by, should only be treated by, or associate with, other special or unique, or high-status people (or institutions);
Requires excessive admiration, adulation, attention and affirmation – or, failing that, wishes to be feared and to be notorious (Narcissistic Supply);

Feels entitled. Demands automatic and full compliance with his or her unreasonable expectations for special and favourable priority treatment;
Is "interpersonally exploitative", i.e., uses others to achieve his or her own ends
;

Devoid of empathy. Is unable or unwilling to identify with, acknowledge, or accept the feelings, needs, preferences, priorities, and choices of others;

Constantly envious of others and seeks to hurt or destroy the objects of his or her frustration. Suffers from persecutory (paranoid) delusions as he or she believes that they feel the same about him or her and are likely to act similarly;

Behaves arrogantly and haughtily. Feels superior, omnipotent, omniscient, invincible, immune, "above the law", and omnipresent (magical thinking). Rages when frustrated, contradicted, or confronted by people he or she considers inferior to him or her and unworthy.

I feel a very strong need to attack him any chance I get.

I thought this was about [Redacted]. Why are you talking about Wellman?

One of his biggest problems is he refuses to understand the difference between coaching in the pros and in college. In the NBA, it's their job and you cna handle the players much rougher. He doesn't get (or doesn't care) that you don't hammer college kids in the same way.

Who cares?

He's loses a lot and needs to be replaced.

I don't feel the need to personally hate the man to reach that decision.

This is absolutely the correct response. Very few, if any, of us have had a 1-on-1 conversation with him for more than 30 seconds. And his public actions aren't so heinous as to warrant a blanket judgement of that nature.

Each and every one of us could be deemed a "jackass" by people who don't like us, especially if we were a public figure with a lot of eyes on us. We all have our moments.

For a man who presumably takes confessions, quite the naive statement.
