Is this the culture RW wanted when he hired Bzzz?

I played on a team that went 3-18 my sophomore year in high school. Two of us were moved up to varsity. It was a nightmare. We started and played with three selfish, average talent seniors who put nothing out on the floor. The coach was fired and two years later we went 18-3. That's the kind of turn around I'm looking for with a new coach. We have sophomores with talent. It's getting them focused on basketball again, not post-game excuses and finger pointing.

Do you have an eligibility left?

Limited talent

Wasn't the culture bullshit only brought up when we started losing game after game during [Redacted]'s first season here. I always thought that Wellman came up with "we need to change the culture of our program" when he saw that we were not going to come close to a NCAAT bid to help defend why he hired [Redacted] in the first place. I still remember Wellman saying that Dino was fired because we were not successful in late Feb. and March and [Redacted] saying "our goal is to get to post-season play and win in post-season play." We have two men here that are both too arrogant to admit they have ever made a mistake so they have to justify (Wellman) and blame ([Redacted]) the current state of our basketball program.

I think Wellman will let [Redacted] go at the end of this season, but it will be 'by mutual consent' and he'll thank [Redacted] for 'establishing a foundation and culture for future success'. If Dan Collins, Andy Katz, or any other member of the media tries to probe into [Redacted]'s 'dismissal', I expect Wellman to say something like "the past has been done, so let's move on". I hope Dan or somebody grills Wellman and pisses him off. That's the least Wellman deserves for how our program has fallen the last 4 years.

Thomas strikes me as similar to a Josh Howard, in several regards. The kid's got a ton of ability. I am hoping we find a coach who can help transform him like Skip did with Josh Howard, although I am not confident we'll find an adequate center soon enough that we can move Thomas to the 4 where his future really needs to be.

Odom transformed Josh Howard into a rookie of the year. I believe he already had the heart and talent.

So he regressed his first year under Prosser.

Can't tell if serious, but Josh was seriously limited late his jr season with the dreaded high ankle sprain. I know he missed games and had others where he gimped around.

Much has been said about the "culture" problems that existed under Dino and how we had to clean it up. But I do not remember at any time under Dino a team in as much disarray as this team. Thomas throws most of the team under the bus saying they don't show up and only three guys play hard. Bzzz makes excuse after excuse blaming poor performance on non existent injuries, in other words flat out lying! Sophs don't like the senior the senior doesn't like anybody. In blow out games Bzzz refuses to play the walk ons. What a great example this team and its coach is for WFU. Personally, I think this is just another area where Bzzz has failed completely. Even when things are not going your way, you can play hard, play good defense and rebound the ball. This team has had all the life sucked out of it. Oh, one other thing, Thomas is certainly a poster boy for good sportsmanship. How many Ts has he gotten this year? Is is quick to bitch at the refs, the press and his teammates. What a culture we have now! Thanks Ron and Bzzz job not well done.

That culture line is the #1 biggest load of B.S. of this entire escapade

Maybe the Dino NBA guys weren't typical Wake students, but how bad of guys could they really have been? Not a single suspension or legal peep out of Ish, AFA, Teague or JJ since making the leap to the NBA. Sure, Tony Woods was a criminal but Bzz is the one who offered for him to come back after a year! Ty Walker was a moron but Bzz continued to give him second chances.

I still contend that Dino's personality was too strong-willed for WellBOT to handle and in a typical "grass is always greener" too much emphasis was placed on the postseason record

Virginia Cavaliers[18] (Atlantic Coast Conference) (2009–present)
2009–10 Virginia 15–16 5–11 T–9th
2010–11 Virginia 16–15 7–9 T–7th
2011–12 Virginia 22–10 9–7 T–4th NCAA Second Round
2012–13 Virginia 23–12
11–7 T–4th NIT Quarterfinals
2013–14 Virginia 25–5 16–1 1st
Virginia: 101–58 (.635) 48-35 (.578)

170–91 (.651)
This is progress and I would say that Wake is more of a basketball school than UVA.
BTW...they had just 10 wins in the season before Bennett

From asking a few reff's, Devin will drop the F bomb when he doesn't like a foul call against him and they will not tolerate that.
