That's an illogical opinion. A freshman who is good enough to leave for the NBA will very likely make an impressive statistical contribution and thusly increase our chances of winning games. Even in the rare cases where 1 & dones play for bad teams, they still make their teams much better than they'd be without.

Ask State how well one and done Dennis Smith worked out for the team.

Historically, NCSU has done horribly with 1 and dones. Something like in the last 30 years NCSU has finished under .500 for the season and 2 of those 4 seasons were the seasons were when we had our most recent "one and dones" in JJ Hickson and DSJ. Of course our coaches also sucked so that may have had a little impact on the season.

In general, you want as much talent as you can possibly accumulate. A good coach will manage the egos and get a good team on the floor.

Congrats on the Hoard pickup, big recruit for you guys. Hope we can keep up by pulling a rabbit out of our hats and landing Keldon Johnson.
