Julius Randle

Ah, sets up my favorite Wayman Tisdale story. 1984 NCAA tourney #2 Oklahoma vs #10 Dayton. When Dayton's star 6'4", Roosevelt Chapman, was asked about his pending match up with 6'9", Wayman Tisdale, Chapman's response was "We will see who the real all American is." Chapman poured in 41 and the Flyers upset the Sooners 89-85. I loved basketball that year - both Wake and Dayton were in the Elite 8. I had a dream - Georgetown and Houston crushed my dream. The fact that Dayton made the elite 8 basically playing only 6 guys and the biggest one was 6'7" still amazes me. After Oklahoma they knocked off Washington who had 2 German 7 footers in Christian Welp and Detlef Schrempf.

another example of why basketball is such a great game, and how coaching can make a huge difference.

All of these kids are studs. While time always tells, this is the best draft class on paper thus far in my lifetime.

8 Allstars and 1 GOAT candidate on 2003 in addition to 20 other rotation guys for quite some time past their rookie deals, going to be hard to top that.

Still gonna be a one and done-can't really call him a college player. Who gives a crap once they are in the league? Same goes for all those guys. They belong in the NBA. They are a blight on the college game.

It'll be hard to top that, but a top-5 of Wiggins, Randle, Exum, Parker, and Gordon is pretty damn great. I think you'll get an all-star or three between Smart, Embiid, the Harrisons, Selden, Harris, WCS, Robinson etc. and the first round is just loaded.

Well actually I think the fact that they all play in college right now means you can call them a "college player."

Don't expect advance to post this morning. He has a breakfast with bkf where they discuss arthritis, cialis, the good ole days when Ike was president, the genius of Perry Como, and whether Hoss or Little Joe was the best.

And I absolutely love that the sixers are going to have 2 of these guys...

Y'all are going to be REALLY good in two years, with a pretty good core of young vets for good measure. It's absurd how quickly that ship will turn around.
