Will never get over Wellman's complete failure to accept responsibility for the [] disaster, and the overall down years for the athletic program.
Rather than acknowledge that he created/contributed to the athletic department problems, he talked down to those that really care about the WF athletic department, and the basketball program in particular. He headed the WF athletic department, but completely failed to show leadership during WF's struggles. The WF fan-base is about as understanding and patient as you will find in major college sports, but don't act like we are stupid when asked about the problems and the steps needed to fix them.
That said, he does deserve credit for the turnaround. Fun to follow WF sports again. The athletic department has made a series of strong hires, and the WF facilities are elite. Future looks bright. So, congrats to RW, but the fanbase will always remember how he treated them.
